Supporting grandparent relationships
Family mediation services for grandparents and wider family members in Jersey
Promoting wider family harmony
At times families may disagree over, for example, relationships, communication, contact with children, property and inheritance – often moreso around separation and divorce. We can help grandparents (or other relatives) in an existing or a new family to resolve differences and communicate more effectively with a view to building or rebuilding and strengthening relationships which may have broken down for many reasons.
Whatever the issues, we can help those involved think about and explore different options to find a way forward.

Constructive communication
Our mediators are impartial and independent professionals who will help you to find solutions that work for all of you as best they can according to your situation and needs.
They will work to facilitate constructive communication between parents and grandparents (or other wider family members), fostering understanding and problem solving. The mediator will guide the discussions, enabling you to express your concerns, to be heard and to find mutually acceptable solutions.
By promoting open dialogue, mediation can reduce conflict and legal expenses, prioritising the best interests of the child while preserving relationships between grandparents and their grandchildren.
